Labour Law News (referred to as “us” or LLN) is the organiser of the event specified on the registration form and specified on www.labourlawnews.co.za/conference (the Event).
BINDING EFFECT
Upon submission of your completed online registration form, you are considered ‘registered’. By submitting your registration form, you agree to these terms without modification, and you enter into a binding contract with us.
You may be invited via other means (such as via e-mail) to attend the Event. In such circumstances, you agree to these Terms without modification and you enter into a binding contract with us when you confirm via e-mail (or other means) that you will attend the Event, in which event you are considered ‘registered’.
If you register for the Event on behalf of an entity, you agree to these Terms on behalf of that entity and its affiliates and you represent that you have the authority to do so. In such case, “you” and “your” will also refer to that entity.
PROGRAMME CHANGES
LLN retains the discretion to change the Event content and timing of the programme, the speakers, or the venue at any time prior to the Event.
PAYMENT OF FEES
Upon registering for the Event, you undertake to pay the relevant fees (all taxes included) as specified on www.labourlawnews.co.za/conference. The fees shall be paid in accordance with the payment terms as set out on the invoice, but in any case, before the beginning of the Event.
CANCELLATION OF EVENT BY LLN
LLN may at any time, with or without giving notice, in its absolute discretion and without giving any reason, cancel your registration and/or cancel or postpone the Event.
In case of cancellation of the Event or of your registration, the paid Event fees (if any) will be reimbursed to you. In case of postponement of the Event, the paid Event fees (if any) will not be refunded, and you will be registered for the Event on the future date on which it is scheduled. Should the Event be postponed or cancelled, we are not responsible nor liable for any costs and/or expenses you may incur due to the postponement and/or cancellation of the Event.
CANCELLATION OF REGISTRATION BY YOU
If there is a cancellation by you before the 30 April 2025 will be refunded at 50%.
If there is a cancellation by you between the 1 May 2025 and 26 June 2025, registration fees will not be refunded. However. the delegate may be substituted with an alternative delegate at no penalty or administration fee.
In case of a no-show (i.e. a registered delegate’s failure to attend the Event), all fees remain due.
Should you decide to cancel your registration, we are not responsible nor liable for any costs and/or expenses you may incur due to the cancellation of your registration.
TRAVEL AND ACCOMMODATION
You are fully responsible for making your own travel and accommodation arrangements at your own cost.
ASSISTANCE AND DIETARY REQUIREMENTS
If you need any special assistance (e.g. in relation to a person who is blind/visually impaired or a person with a physical disability), please contact the event organizer in advance by email to arrange such assistance at the Event.
Where applicable, you will be given the opportunity to mention any dietary requirement in the registration form and/or through the subscription process. If you require a special meal (such as a Halaal meal or a Kosher meal), there will be an additional cost, for your account, associated with this. This cost will be communicated to you and you will be invoiced for it.
DATA PROTECTION
By registering for and/or by attending / participating in the Event, you acknowledge that your personal data will be collected and processed by us, and consent thereto, in order to organise such Event and manage your participation. You also consent to your personal data being shared with our marketing partners.
PHOTOGRAPHY AND FILMING
By registering for and/or by attending / participating in the Event, you acknowledge and consent that you may be photographed and/or filmed and that some of these photos and video recordings may be used for news and promotional purposes, marketing materials, illustration, information and dissemination activities via LLN’s website or on LLN’s social media pages.
Should you have any concerns about this, or do not wish to be featured in any of these materials, please send an e-mail to the Event planner to communicate this prior to the Event.
FORCE MAJEURE
LLN, its personnel, directors and shareholders will not be liable or responsible for any failure to perform, or delay in performance of, any of its obligations that is caused by events outside its reasonable control (“Force Majeure event”).
MARKETING
Please note that individuals and organisations cannot exhibit or hand out marketing material or other printed matter during the Event, except with prior written consent of LLN or by entering into a sponsorship agreement with LLN.

CONDUCT AT THE EVENT
You shall not display any content, engage in conduct, or incite any person to commit an act, which:
• is threatening, libellous, defamatory, or obscene;
• would constitute a criminal offense, give rise to civil liability, or otherwise violate law in any manner;
• infringes the intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of any third parties; or
• constitutes or contains false or misleading statements.
You consent also not to use our infrastructure for unethical, illegal or malicious activities. We may at any time, with or without giving notice, in our absolute discretion, rescind your registration or attendance at the Event in case of violation of these Terms without incurring any liability to you and/or any third party. In such event, all paid Event fees will not be reimbursed, and all Event fees shall remain due.
LIABILITY
You are required to keep your personal belongings (including your computer and/or other devices) with you at all times and we accept no liability for damage to, or loss of, personal belongings.
